The Greenest Project of the Year Award competition has been held in every year since 2012. It aims to give recognition for the outstanding real estate projects that can boast sustainable and environmentally friendly measures in the field of construction, operation and services. Commercial real estate projects, green office spaces or rental property can apply. The evaluation criteria are:

The property’s location. (ecology)
Sustainable developments in the building
Green measures certified by a third party
Environmental awareness in operation
Innovative, energy efficient solutions
The building impacts on the environment
Environmental services for tenants

Energy efficiency together – Preparation of Energy renovations in apartment blocks guide is for co-owners, employees of property management firms whose task is coordinate energy renovation of multi-apartment buildings. This document aims to help people who would like to start renovation investments in their own communities, but they don’t know how to do it and how to persuade their residents.

It summarises the key steps in the planning and decision-making process, lists the stakeholders and presents the challenges and difficulties what could emerge during the preparation and implementation of the project and it gives possible solutions to them.

Green Walk

In 2013, HuGBC started the Green Walk initiative  to celebrate World Green Building Week. Every year, around 20 locations can be visited by professionals and the public, mostly closed to public. The locations represent the most recent developments of sustainable architecture and urban planning in Hungary (mainly in Budapest). A series of walking tours are guided by industry experts. They highlight the aesthetic value and demonstrate the high performance functionality of green technology and energy efficient renovation of existing buildings.
